Our Work
GateBridge builds community-owned ventures, real businesses that meet local needs and put ownership in the hands of residents. We're an early-stage organization building deliberately: starting with a flagship venture, proving the model alongside committed partners, and creating a blueprint we can replicate in other communities.
Each venture is developed through our Venture Studio, the engine that takes an idea from community insight to a launched, community-owned business.
Flagship Venture: Rosie's Grocery
Rosie's Grocery is GateBridge's first venture, a community-centered grocery designed to bring fresh, culturally relevant food to a neighborhood that needs better access, and to do it through community ownership rather than outside extraction. Rosie's is being developed in partnership with National Co-op Grocers, the country's largest network of food co-ops, with guidance from The Democracy Collaborative on community ownership models.
Rosie's is more than a store. It's a proof point, a working model for how GateBridge turns a local need into a community-owned asset, and the foundation for the ventures that follow.

What's Next
Rosie's is the first of several ventures GateBridge is developing across the sectors where community ownership matters most, including food, workforce housing, and local jobs. As each venture moves from concept to launch, we'll build on the same model: community-led, partner-supported, and designed to keep wealth where it's created.
